Structural Insulated Panels
Structural Insulated Panels are a high performance building solution for residential and commercial construction. The structural insulated panels consist of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two structural facings - usually metal.
Structural Insulated Panels are manufactured under factory-controlled conditions to maintain their building integrity and can be fabricated to specific architectural designs or general layouts. The resulting building system is extremely strong, highly energy and heat efficient and cost effective.
Are Structural Insulated Panels More Expensive?
Building with Structural Insulated Panels generally costs about the same as building with wood frame construction when you factor in the labour savings resulting from shorter construction time and less jobsite waste. Other savings are realized because smaller heating and cooling systems are required with SIP construction.
